He stepped out of the wagon to see if Dav had returned, or if Gar was himself ready for the fight.
Then to his surprise and dismay, all around him in the trees he heard a hissing, the clicking of teeth and the rattling of spears on shields. The Gnael were here, and they were already surrounded.
“Well now. Didn’t ever think I’d hear that sound again.” Peter raised his voice in challenge. “Hello there, Gnaelboys. Did ye come to stare or did ye come to dance?”
A hooting cry came up from the trees, and a mass of Gnael bodies swarmed the camp.

First - AAARRRRGGG!!! I’m all out of Heart of the Hunter!!!!!
Which is as much joy in the story, as a lament of hitting the end of the posted chapters
I had intended to listen to each one, then post comments on each one, but I keep listening to as many as I can while driving, or exercising, or puttering about the house, so I can’t always remember which nifty bits happened in which chapter.
I’m loving the story, I think I have a crush on more than one character, and I’m quite enchanted by having you read to me. I’m looking forward to the next chapter
And please don’t feel pressured to do the next chapter - while I’m looking forward to it, I want it to be as much a joy to create it as I’m sure it will be to listen to it - so take whatever time you need to on it.
